Preparing for your visit

In preparation for your experience on the trail and in the museum, we also ask for your adherence to our site guidelines:

  • No animals except service animals – Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) § 11-1024.
  • The trail is not ADA accessible. Please note the trail is a relatively flat, graveled walking trail of approximately ¼ mile.
  • No smoking or open flame. The land at this cultural heritage site gets very dry and the risk for fire is high.
  • Make sure you are providing yourself with enough time to successfully walk the trail and see the petroglyphs. On average, our visitors spend anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour at our site.
  • We recommend you bring water to stay hydrated. There is no water fountain access anywhere on site. Bottled water is available for sale.
  • Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and a hat. You may also bring binoculars and your camera.
  • We are home to wildlife, including bobcats, javelinas, squirrels and rattlesnakes. Please do not approach, touch or feed the wildlife.
  • Please stay on the trail for safety, preservation and respect.
  • Please do not climb on or touch the petroglyphs. Oil from our fingers, scuffs from our shoes, and disturbances of the landscape harm the site.
  • This is a respected site to many Native American communities. Please do not damage or remove any artifacts, rocks or plants.
